CLIMACTREGIONS COLLABORATES WITH EU PROJECT ENNEREG

Rhonalpénergie-environnement (RAEE) and the Region Rhône-Alpes are involved in the ENNEREG and Climactregions projects, have organized a meeting on 21 October 2011 between the representatives of the partner regions of these two projects.

Cooperation between both projects will be fruitful at several levels.

Through good practices identified in the partnership and in other european regions, Climactregions elaborated guidelines manuals for developing regional policies and actions plans. The major principles stemming from these good practices, which feed guideline manuals on the observation of GHG, the strategies of fight against climate change and the governance can also feed the regional policies implemented  by  ENNEREG partners. ENNEREG presentations aim to enrich the knowledge of Climactregions partners by sharing experience of implementation of regional policies and support to the Covenant of Mayors.

The report captures outputs from two elements of the working group meeting:
1) Sharing good and best practice on strategy/action development;
2) Identifying barriers to developing strategies and action regionally, and developing solutions to these barriers.
